Frequently asked questions and concerns

"I've been wanting to book for ages, but..."

"I don't know what I want or what to ask for!"

You really don't need to come in knowing exactly what you want or what will suit your nails/hand shape, whether to get BIAB, whether to just get gel polish, whether to get some nail art and if so, the exact design.  Just book your appointment.  I always ensure, especially for your first appointment, that there is plenty of time to go over what BIAB is, whether you want or need it, what colours and styles and shapes you like, etc. Time, coffee, tea, biscuits and nail chat is part of the treat of having our nails done.  You wouldn't go into a clothes shop with the exact pair of jeans in mind and grab them and leave in case you take up too much time and effort! Why would it be any different for your nails?

"I JUST WANT NICE, TIDY, GLOSSY NAILS - NOT STILETTOS AND GEMS"

Yep, same.  Instagram worthy nailart and those really long lengths and pointy tips look fun and are such a craft - but life isn't Instagram!  Most of us just want manicured, tidy, understated but beautiful, glossy nails.  Especially this year, it is all about the 'lip gloss', 'baby boomer', Ombre French, French tips (both coloured and white) - all giving  natural, classy and chic vibes.  So if you feel boring asking for this - you shouldn't - you are right on trend!

"I may not be your average customer"

There clearly isn't an average client, because everybody turns up thinking they are a pain!  You are not.  Everybody's appointment is different - some have their partner bring their baby in midway through so they can breastfeed, busy/working mum's have a very specific slot to get in and back out again so I know to have everything ready to go go go! when they arrive,  some hate small talk and just want to listen to their music/podcast, some have bad backs so need to get up and have a stretch/readjust throughout, some don't like to come alone (usually on first appointments) so bring somebody with them to sit and have a coffee and wait, some apologise because they have eczema or bite their nails...and everyone hates their feet.  And not all nail loving beauties are female.  There is no average customer.  Only pretty nails.  Everybody is welcome.

AND RELAX Message 'relax' before your appointment if you fancy putting your headphones on or just need some quiet, - then I'll know how you want your appointment.
